Mother of the Bride

Mary Parkinson lives in Lawrence and teaches at a middle school. Laura’s dad Wayne passed away last July and they’ve missed him a great deal. Wayne would have been the first to the dance floor and will be there in spirit for the celebration. Mary enjoys visiting Laura and Parker in NYC, seeing broadway shows and exploring. She stays busy taking care of her new puppy Foxy.


Brother of the bride

David Parkinson is Laura’s older brother. An entrepreneur and traveler, he’s been on a motorcycle trip in South America for the past three years. He just returned from his trip fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and filled with tales of his many adventures. David will be an usher in the wedding.


Sister of the bride

Kim O’Reilly is Laura’s half sister and lives with her husband Sean and children Quinn (12) and Ian (7) in Wichita, Kansas. Kim is an assistant principal and stays busy taking the boys to traveling hockey games and sports practices. Quinn will be an usher and Ian will be a ring bearer in the wedding.

Parents of the Groom

Grant and Darlene Eshelman live in Kansas City and enjoy the perks of retirement.



Parker’s two older brothers Hunter and Duncan are groomsmen in the wedding. Hunter works in NYC as a group creative director for VML, an advertising agency headquartered in Kansas City. His daughter Murphy is our flower girl. Duncan is married to Amber Eshelman and is a senior software analysist at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City.


Grandmother of the Groom

Charlene Duncan, Parker’s grandmother, is 94 years young and enjoys life in Omaha, Neb., especially living near eight of her nine great grandchildren.



Murphy, Parker’s niece lives in Kansas City and loves dancing and singing along to Disney’s Frozen.
